The ribbon opening cut Lexus is the first official delegation to Turkey.
The premium Japanese company started retail sales in the neighboring country through a modern 1,000 sqm space located in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Istanbul. Behind the window is already a wide range of Lexus models including the RX, NX, GS, IS and LS. The boost in sales will be given to models powered by the new two-liter turbo engine of Lexus and provided importantly and the role of hybrid models.
In his speech which brought the President and CEO of Toyota Turkey, Ali Haydar Bozkurt, he said he was eager to come the day that Lexus will enter the local market, which will redefine the premium segment. At the same time, he gave the Toyota President’s words, Akio Toyoda, whereby ultimate goal of Lexus is not just to manufacture cars, artwork and every model sold today are a demonstration of this idea.
In his welcome addressed the head of Lexus in Europe, Alan Giouisenchouf, expressing the belief that the premium market in Turkey will increase from 80,000 units in 2015 to 100,000 units shortly.
For the first time, the Lexus’ goal is 250 sales and over the next five years 1,000 sales. The retail network in Turkey will be extended in Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya and Adana.
