Rimac the project already was five years ago, and today the small Croatian company is ready to unveil its ultimate car at the Geneva show. Program: 1088 hp Electric, a major technological content and only eight copies planned, for now anyway.
Initially, during the Frankfurt Motor Show of 2011, we were more than puzzled by the figures advanced by the small Croatian manufacturer Rimac Concept One of her. With 1088 hp, over 3000 Nm of torque and 500 km of autonomy and a 0 to 100 in less than 3 seconds, the car was surprising. However, since water has flowed under the bridges and demonstrative electric cars have increased, Tesla Model S in mind.
This year, Rimac is ready to launch its self officially. Five years after the first public, the Concept One thus will make its final debut at Geneva. The supercar has four electric motors (two per axis) and a total output of 1088 hp. The couple finally culminates “only” 1600 Nm Rimac announced it developed an internal battery. With its 82 kWh, it should allow the auto to display a good range. Rimac managed to keep the weight of the beast to 1850 kg thanks to the massive use of carbon fiber. Braking, carbon-ceramic, can send up to 400 kW recharging the batteries during heavy deceleration phases.
As for performance, the Concept One boasts a 0 to 100 in 2.6 seconds (better than anything that currently runs, almost), a 0 to 200 in 6.2 seconds and 0 to 300 in 14.2 seconds, and a max speed of 350 km / h.
Only eight units are planned for the moment, and Rimac declined to release the price that must be obviously as stratospheric as the data sheet.
